This community strengthening programme in southern Africa intends to reduce the prevalence of tuberculosis in the region’s mining sector. It is funded by the Global Fund, and EMAM is selected as a sub-sub beneficiary of ACHAP to carry out grant-related activities at the community level. Increased community development responses and access to TB care, prevention, and treatment are the project’s key goals. The TIMS’s main objectives are:

• Improve access to TB, silicosis and HIV services by key populations
• Support case detection and diagnosis through community screening and contact tracing
• Support the removal of human rights and gender related barriers to TB care and prevention
• Support capacity building, planning and leadership development for key population

EMAM implemented the project in Neno district and core activities implemented included;
